A hotel since the late 19th century, Hotel Toro boasts an ancient tradition. This family-run hotel by the Schiavo family has been host to a number of famous guests over the years; the Dutch artist Escher stayed in room six here and was possibly inspired by the dizzily patterned tiles.
In the hotel’s guest book there are also the signatures of Norwegian composer E. Grieg, painters Favai and Vedova.
